Remedy, insight and information.

September 1st is quickly approaching and that can only mean one thing, the next book in The Forgotten Legacies series will soon be out.

Instead of bombarding you with several posts containing cover work and promotional images, I thought I would condense it all into one. Although I do have some more amazing pictures on the way, and a fantastic trailer, I’m not ready to release them yet, but I assure you, you will not be disappointed.

Like all the books preceding it, Remedy will read as a stand alone story, and will also be donating  10% of the author royalties to The DMWS. You’ll see their donate button on the side of my page, feel free to stop by and show the real heroes your support.

Cover reveal:

This year I have gone for something a little different, a separate cover for eBook and paperback. I am absolutely thrilled with how they have turned out, so I hope you like them too.

Synopsis:

Before there were legends there was war.
Before fables came twisted truth and distorted tales.
Things deemed too dangerous were sealed, and bound for all eternity.
Or so it was believed.

Whispers from an ancient realm threaten the peace, drawing a lone adventurer into The Depths of Acheron.
He seeks something from within this sealed domain, and those banished want something in return.
Something belonging to them.

There was a prophecy forged of rebirth and death.
But knowing what is to come can change what will be.
And there is one who seeks to do just that.
He intends to use every tool at his disposal, every distraction and manipulation, to ensure the future will be his.

The time has come for the forgotten to be unveiled, and for the sealed to be unbound. Only then will the world know true fear.

Like my other titles, it will also be free on Kindle Unlimited.

As a KU subscriber myself, I often lean towards reading KU titles, so I hope if you’re a subscriber this will tempt you too.

What’s next?

For my die hard fans out there, be warned, the final book in the series is not expected to be released until September 2019, but as the finale, you can bet everything that has occurred throughout the series comes in one glorious climax. Fear not, it is already written, but needs to undergo extensive revisions. After that, you can look forward to the series prequel, The Grimoire, which will be released as a stand alone, single book.

Last but not least:

I want to take this opportunity to thank you, the reader, and my supporters for being with me on this amazing journey. Writing has always been my dream, and thanks to your support it has been a successful one. I am honoured and humbled that you have chosen to read my work, and you will always have my heart-felt thanks.

Wishing you all an amazing day!

Book review: What I love about Dublin by Amanda Laneley

What I love about Dublin is due for release on October 15th, and I warn you, it is an addictive, engrossing, contemporary romance. I was thrilled to be approached by the author Amanda Laneley  who asked if I would be interested in reading a pre-release copy.

Sara has fled to Dublin, escaping the life she was being forced into. It had always been her plan to travel, to see the world 512cknyqoglwith nothing more than a pack on her back. But it seemed her life had already been mapped out, and her dreams were not taken into account. When a temporary position in Dublin was offered to her she left, never looking back. Nursing a broken heart the last thing she wanted was to find herself interested in another man, worse still, she was only permitted to stay her current lodgings on the understanding that under no circumstances can room mates date. What she feels is confusing, passionate, and undeniable, but each time she allows herself a moment of surrender fate intervenes. Misunderstandings, jealousy, and strife fill the household, threatening her chance of true happiness and creating the very atmosphere the rule intended to avoid.

This is not a book to be taken lightly. The minute I started reading I was hooked, in fact, this is one of the few books that has kept me up into the early hours of the morning. I read it in a single sitting, and that sitting finished just after 3am, despite the fact I knew I had a 7am start. What I Love About Dublin is filled with charisma and passion, not only between the characters, but in the writing itself. There are scenes which took my breath away, and others which gave rise to powerful emotions, frustration, sadness, joy and even heartache. I adored the characters, their interactions, and, of course, the setting. This book is everything a good romance should be, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

What I love about Dublin is due for release on October 15th, but don’t despair, you can pre-order a copy now here’s the book link:

Synopsis:

Civilisations rise and fall leaving only dust and legend in their wake. Kingdoms were lost, and races forgotten. Across the countless span of time one threat rises, heralding the end of man’s rule, and laying to waste those who defiled its mistress. It is known as the Severaine, a power that in vengeance could bring even the Gods themselves to their knees. Each era overcame this peril so a new world could rise from the ashes of old. Lost within such wisdom could be the answers our heroes seek, a means to stop the threat before a new cycle is born.

But legends can lie and history can be mistaken.

There is another tale, a fable on the lips of few, it speaks of the means to force this power into submission, and there are those who would seek to bend this devastating might to their will.

Creatures rise, guardians wake, and sometimes even the meddling hands of man can turn divine plans awry. The prophesies of old were reforged by death and whisper now a chilling truth. If this path continues unobstructed there is only one conclusion. The end of man and god alike.

But there are some secrets that should never be uncovered and paths which mortals must fear to tread.

When revenge knows no boundaries there are some bonds even death cannot destroy.

John Evans, an exciting author update

You may remember some time back I interviewed an author from my neck of the woods, The Unwilling Recruit front cover designJohn Evans, as well as reviewed his book An Unwilling Recruit. I have also been fortunate enough to receive and read a review copy of the next book in The Armageddon Wars series, A Fool in The Ring. I must say I found John’s books thrilling with fantastic momentum, and I am not the only one to think this.

His book ‘An Unwilling Recruit’, and his not yet released ‘A Fool in the Ring’ is now being represented by the American Publishing house TopShelf Publishing. This of course means his books are currently no longer available for purchase while it undergoes some repackaging changes, including the brilliant new cover featured here.

An Unwilling Recruit will be re-released on November the 15th. It is already available for pre-order from Topshelf here. I hope you’ll all join me in congratulating John, and wish him all the best with TopShelf Publishing.

Darrienia Final teaser

For my final teaser I decided to do something a little different. I thought this image on its own was so fantastic that I didn’t want to add any text, instead I will leave you with this small excerpt.

teaser4

“The timeless room gave pause to their own mortality, before them countless figures had sat in this very place. The endless athenaeum was dedicated to one sole purpose, the obtaining of power. Within the great towers, every tome, parchment, or carving, of magical craft and prophecy could be found. Some mere facsimiles, but nothing, not even a single aged shred of parchment, would further deteriorate within these walls, nothing that was, except for the living.” Darrienia.

This is one of my favourite images, as the artist took numerous things from the book and included them in the picture.

It is now just days away, don’t forget to pick up your copy here:

You’re Not Alone: An Indie Author Anthology for Macmillan Cancer Support

Hi I hope you are all in good health.

I just wanted to do a very quick blog for an upcoming book. I have personally pre-ordered my copy and can’t wait to get my hands on it, so watch this space for a review in the upcoming months.

At this moment I am not getting as much time as I would like to dedicate to reading, in fact, my reading list has almost doubled whilst I still have yet to check a book off it. I can’t help myself, I love reading, and if I am honest, about 95% of all the works I purchase are written by indie authors.

Many years back indie authors were getting bad press and words like vanity publishing were being thrown around by traditional publishers, but to be quite honest, having read a large number of indie books I have yet to come across one that hasn’t clearly shown the author’s passion for writing, a passion which is clearly reflected through the brilliant characters and compelling plots. It is for this reason I now favour the indie authors over the traditionally published ones. Of course, being independent means they don’t get the publicity of traditionally published authors and all marketing comes out of their own pocket and awareness comes from word of mouth, and the help of social media and blogs.

As you may know I am quite active on social media, more so Twitter at the moment, I have made friends with a number of authors and I was really excited to learn about an upcoming release which will contain the works of many indie authors. A few of the names I already know and have loved their work, so I jumped at the chance to pre-order it, who knows, I may even find more books to add to my ever growing list.

The authors of this work span over countless time zones and have banded together in order to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, in fact 100% of the royalties from this labour of love are being donated to this cause. I think what this selection of authors are doing is amazing, they have dedicated their time and effort into producing an outstanding work and have done so selflessly under the banner of doing something good for charity.

The book itself, which is titled “You’re Not Alone: An Indie Author Anthology” is now available for pre-order and will be available from the 11th July

Why not take a look at it for yourself? The link is below. I hope you are as excited about reading this as I am.
