Axel’s father was in trouble. He owed a lot of money to Balo Fuse and this was not a person you wanted to owe. Worse still, his father isn’t alone in the debt. What should have been an easy plan to settle the books drags Axel into the spotlight, thrusting him into the centre of a series of terrifying events. Strange things are happening and the very balance of power hangs in the balance. The hunt is on for something that should have been lost forever, a weapon of unimaginable power. But the Regime aren’t the only ones looking for it, other forces are at play, and danger is afoot. Can Axel discover the truth before it’s too late?
I can honestly say it has been a long time since I have enjoyed reading a science fiction as much as I have enjoyed D.M.Z. Liyanage’s, Axel Lennart and the Ice World. This book truly has it all, advanced technology, looming danger, threat, mystery, and enduring friendships. Fun and engaging with characters you can’t help but love and become invested in. You are truly transported to another world, and with beautifully written descriptions and witty banter. This is one book you won’t want to put down, it’ll have you hooked from the beginning and things only get better from there.
